Our Stems for Success

Our motto, "Believe, Learn, Grow Together" " Credu, Dysgu, Tyfu, Gyda'n Gilydd" serves as the foundation for our school vision.

The vision was developed by evaluating the Four Purposes and our aspirations at White Rose Primary and beyond; with pupils, staff, parents and members of the wider community.

Our Vision

Believe - we are resilient, inquisitive, and ambitious in our pursuit of excellence via learning, sharing, and celebrating our accomplishments.

Learn - to take risks, embrace creativity, use new technologies, collaborate and work independently in authentic life experiences.

Grow - in confidence and gain knowledge and understanding to make decisions to lead an active, healthy and happy life as an integral part of our wellbeing.

Together - we have pride and love for our traditions and cultural heritage while appreciating the distinctions in our ever-changing world. We value our strength in our individuality and unity as a school, community, Wales and the world.

Our Stems of Success

Our seven core values form the foundation of everything we do to achieve our vision. These values are equally important and are woven into every aspect of school life, with RESPECT at the heart of them all.

They provide a clear framework that:

• Guides our behaviour
• Shapes our ethos
• Influences how we interact with one another

Both staff and pupils are committed to promoting and living out these values every day. We call them our Stems of Success—they help us to be the very best we can be, both individually and as a school community.

How the Stems of Success Support the Curriculum for Wales

Our Stems of Success are closely aligned with the Curriculum for Wales and its ambition to develop four key purposes in every learner. These purposes aim to help children and young people become:

1. Ambitious, capable learners
   – Our values encourage curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning, helping pupils to aim high and persevere.
2. Enterprising, creative contributors
   – We nurture creativity, innovation, and confidence, empowering pupils to express themselves and contribute positively to society.

   – Through our focus on respect, fairness, and responsibility, pupils learn to value diversity, understand their rights, and make ethical choices.

   – We promote wellbeing, self-belief, and positive relationships, supporting pupils to lead fulfilling lives and make healthy choices.
