Our topic this term is 'What makes someone famous?'

This term, our learning will focus on the theme Our World, Many Voices. The children will explore what it means to be famous, how people use their voices to make a difference, and the legacies that inspirational figures leave behind.

We will be learning about well-known individuals from the past and present, including Marcus Rashford, Simone Biles, and Betsi Cadwaladr. Each of these role models has shown resilience, bravery, and determination in different ways – from campaigning against child poverty, to promoting mental health awareness, to improving conditions for soldiers in the Crimean War.

Through this topic, children will build their understanding of important concepts such as fame, legacy, activism, resilience, and impact. They will reflect on how people can inspire change and consider how they themselves can use their voices to make a positive difference in the world.

This exciting theme links across our curriculum, supporting children to develop their speaking, listening, and writing skills, while also deepening their understanding of history, citizenship, and personal development.
